Internet service providers in Bahria Town Lahore

I have heard that PTCL is the only internet service provider available in Bahria Town Lahore. Can anyone confirm this?I’m interested in using Stormfiber as I’m satisfied with their service. If that’s not available is there any good broadband service that works in Bahria Town Lahore

    1. I have been a resident of Bahria Town, Lahore for 4 years now. I live in Rafi Block, Sector E. When I moved here they weren’t offering PTCL for my block so for a year and half I was stuck to MiFi devices which gave me 4,5 MBs max, they might have improved now but I can’t confirm that. Anyway, fast forward I got PTCL broadband eventually and initially it sucked, my main issue revolved around ping as I play CSGO, I need constant ping even if it is around 120 but that took another year to fix. At the moment, PTCL asked me to downgrade from 25 MBs because their shitty exchange has serious congestion issues so I’m stuck to 15 MBs but thank goodness it is stable now and I get a constant ping now around 90-95 ms.

      I really wish we had stormfiber but gotta make do with what we have.

    2. That’s the most unfortunate and bitter truth that PTCL is the only and now even they are not approving new connections in Bahria Town especially Nargis block. WTF! I still can’t process this fact that one of the most advanced towns don’t focus on a quality ISP

    3. Cybernet now offering fibre in Bahria town lahore, just had it put in along with tv (via cable)

      Internet / fibre is good

      But tv cable is rubbish quality and limited to around 65 channels only and not worth it

      Also customer service not great, hard to get hold of anyone once they take your money and always promise to turn up and don’t

    4. I want to add, there is Ch. Broadband. 10mpbs connection 3500. Frequent disconnections, download day time max 4, 5 mbps, upload fix 1mbps. After evening download ager 1mpbs mil jayay to shukar kero warna sabar kero.
      Pathetic service dont even bother trying.

    6. i have a question i live in talha block i play games like dead by daylight and fortnite when i used to live in tulip block i had ptcl (20mbps) and used to get 150 ping in dead by daylight and 70 ping in fortnite but thats not good ping i wanna get like atleast 90 in dead by daylight and 40 in fortnite whats the best option i have? can anyone help me with this i need a stable connection and a fast one too

    7. there are only two options in bahria lahore
      1. National Cable
      2. PTCL

      If PTCL is providing Fiber in your area get that. If it’s not available try to get a VDSL from ptcl.
      If even VDSL is not available the last ptcl option would be internet on copper, which is not capable of providing good speed. In that case, go for the National Cable.

      The reason why National cable is recommended as the last option is that their customer servise is pathetic, you may face frequent disconnections. But when its working you will get good speed.

      i live in rafih block. i am using jazz 4g.speed is good but only issue i am facing is while playing pubg i get 300 ms . before i was getting 80ms but a month ago i am facing this problem. i am thinking to move to ptcl

    12. There is a cable operator in Safari . They are providing fiber internet connectivity.. according to them it’s stormfiber. The have a contract with them as stormfiber was not allowed in bahria

    13. Correct, the PTCL declined my application yesterday for the telephone and broadband connection. They gave reason that “they cannot offer requested services in my area”. I live in AA Block, Bahria Town, Lahore. I urgently need an alternate option. Any recommendations will be highly appreciated.

      • Same issue in Overseas B. No PTCL and no other ISP.

        Purchased a zong 4g device today. Attached is a speed test result. The max speed I’m getting here is around 25mb. Which is alot less than I was getting from stormfiber when I wasn’t living in bahria. Stormfiber was also alot cheaper with unlimited internet and great customer service.

        Zong 4g device is the best option I could find.
        The song device is small so the signals might not cover a large area. It has to be charged it’s a portable device. There data is limited and its pretty expensive. There is limit of devices that can connect to device at a time, the number mentioned on the device is 16 devices.

        Zong device : 3500pkr
        Data package 200gb: 3250pkr. And apparently out of 200 only 100gb can be used in day time remaining 100 are for night time.

    15. I have heard there is a provider called SHARKNET office in DD Block, they are also offeting unlimited internet but a hit expensive.
